Let's go to Mexico – or at least get close enough to service your customers who already know Mexico is a burgeoning economy with:

  • 112 million consumers,

  • 30% growth in imports in 2010 year-over-year,

  • low unemployment, and

  • 5% predicted GDP growth.

The U.S. is Mexico's number one trading partner. Labor costs rival those of China. And the deep-water port of Lazaro Cardenas, combined with interline or intermodal services, offer less expensive access to the interior U.S. and the Canamex Corridor than West Coast ports in the U.S.

It's not that difficult to do business with cargo owners who trade in Mexico. If planned and executed properly, with some legal interlining considerations and inexpensive Mexican insurance, cargo can be moved both ways safely and efficiently. It's happening, with or without you.
